Not sure about you but 2 decades of my life towards one employer is a long time. Long commitment. Why did I stay that long? Let's see... stable paycheck, union representation. Some times you have to suck up the shi--tines to have a stable paycheck. I've worked both union and non union jobs and will only work union from now on. Sad that youth of x,y,z gen do not see grocery or retail as a career option. I get it, I've started bottom barrel with zero experience not much savings .... But you have to start some where. If the merge goes through you bet I'm going for a change.

I wouldn't exactly call Gen X youthful. Most Gen X people are in their fifties or late forties.
