Kroger finally admited to adding 2 step after the recent data breach
Permalink

This month employees were greeted with a must set up 2 step verification upon logging into their accounts.  Gee I wonder why? Kroger always waits too long to set up security on their systems. I filed an ftc data breach complaint with kroger the month it happened. (I not affected but many others were.) I suggest setting up a credit lock on your personal data. 2 of the 3 credit bureaus are free. I have always left this active except when I need to apply for a loan or close/open a new credit/debit card. It's super easy and they have done away with having to contact the 800#. Even if you do not own asset or have an estate it is wise regardless to have a lock on your credit score always active.

I knew there was an data breach when I entered the wrong answer to my security question. I entered it wrong so many times and got through. Kroger spends less money on data security.

Its not their responsibility its yours. Plenty of other options you can use for security. stop being lazy and rely on others.

I was able to put a freeze on my credit with all three bureaus Equifax/TransUnion/Experian. There was no charge for me at all to do this. Local TV station had a link to a site where you could do a lookup and my info was on there although the current address they had was incorrect.
