I have been seeing a lot of posts on reddit about work scheduling people 10+ day work weeks, denying vacation/pto requests. Please set an availablity if you do not wish to work 50+ hr work weeks. Your bank account won't like it but your health won't. This will wear you down the longer you do it and exhaust your body. I've been forced to full time and had to kiss my last year availablity restrictions good buy upon the new system roll out. I am saying to hell with it and going back to that after my fall quarter restrictions end. My body can not do full time work in this environment. Work is not getting it and the more exhausted this is making me the more they might understand that I just can't do it. 

I checked the union hand book and knowledge called the rep. Work can not continuously rewrite the schedule after it's been written. They can not accept day off request then deny them with written in shifts or scheduled shifts. They have to ask you if you desire to pick up extra shifts or not. Remember if it isn't approved in esced you are not required to work it. It is common to see work trying to fire people in penciled in shifts and skipped shifts. If they do this to you please contact your rep. Work can not suddenly reduce your hours for no reason. If they do this it is retaliation. Please do not buy but you're scheduled pt cra--p. 

It amazes me how many of you do not read the union hand book. With it being digitally accessible on ufw website you should be able to access it. Unless you are digitally challenged some how you should be able to read through it in less than an hour or two.

Even if you spell out your availability in writing they'll still do whatever the hell they want. Managers are rather brazen nowadays. Kroger needs money to pursue its futile merger attempt and that starts with store associates like you.

 It's an exploit and/or get no hours to meet rent and have food :( 

Union does not speak to district rep if pic or department manager says "it's district that set these"
