Staff are complaining about not being paid for vacation because nobody approved it and they can't do anything about it because it wasn't approved. So you get 2 weeks unpaid. I hate to say it but kroger's training system is the worst.

I know every time I put in a request for a vacation week, the manager who approves it only puts it in for one day. I always have to leave a note for payroll so they can fix it. Why have an option for a vacation week request if they're not going to put it in right? I know it can be done because the previous manager was able to do it. It's all about putting in the proper pay code. Some say to just select five vacation days plus two off days for the week I want, but I'm not taking vacation days. I'm taking a vacation week: a week that starts on the Sunday of the week I select and ends the following Saturday.
