One sure way to piss off your store is to become the schedule writer and piss everyone off by giving them horrid schedules. Our store's schedule has been frozen in time for almost 1.5 years now and it is not conducive to retail adjusting for sales or growth. Personal schedules change and evolve over time and she didn't quite get it. She's screwed up the scheduling more than once and no one was happy. We work retail we all get it and understand schedules adjust to the needs of the business and operations of that business. However, our scheduler did not understand that. After a few ethics reports from staff being scheduled in their unavailable restricted time frames and other nuisances like being shaved off a few hours here or there... These are what did her in.
Our schedules are finally corrected to what they should be. I'll work what ever they give me but at the same time don't screw people over and give them less than 20 hrs a week when availability is open. or at least open enough to get sufficient hours.
