I've never before had a team with members who are so set into set preferential schedules and they don't realize how lucky they are to have it. If you've ever read the schedule writing rules in the union hand book you would understand this. I can tell you three have not.
Most departments are rotating random with shuffling shifts. Not one person assigned to that shift always. You three deserve a cold dose of reality for scheduling in this line of work. If my male coworker keeps being a dick about his schedule being shy of 40 hours a week by just a few hours I'm bringing it up with the manager again. I have seniority over him and occasionally have to request days off that do not fall in my normal 2 days a week off. Some times appointments don't all fall on those days. To my coworkers:1 it's getting old. 2 you're a grown adult and need to act like it. I'm seeing why you three never evolved past this line of work. I have but the insurance world keep calling me back to this industry or I'd be out like that.
Despite the fact I inform you guys verbally of schedule changes at least 3 weeks in advance you guys are always dumb founded when that schedule gets written and throw tantrums over it. This line of work you don't realize how lucky you are to have preferential schedules. If you three keep being a dick over it I'm going to bring this up with the manager and we'll end it by going to the rotating schedule like we're supposed to have. Don't loose something over minor discrepancies. I will make the managers enforce this if you three keep being dic--ks over the schedule
