Our 6PM close went very smoothy. One of our managers was turning away people that wanted to come in literally at the last minute to shop. Announcements were made aprox 45 minutes before closing and every 15 minutes our FES would do a reminder. I swung by Publix when I got off (they closed at 7PM) and I left sorry for those people-it wad an insane madhouse. I didn't go inside-just needed to use their Presto ATM.
I work most of a shift in the back anyway. It got busy but it's NOT in my job description to help the Front End. Most of our DEI hires are up there.
Tell your family to get their own car and wipe down the parts they touch. The curry runners don't know the concept of TP and not wiping your a** with your bare hand. Another "type" will go look in the employee break room fridge and steal someone else's food. *Fun fact: It won't be a White person.
