Not sure if going on medical for 3 months minimum for a major procedure, however I know they're not going to allow light duty. I will have increased medical during this time frame and it's better than fighting with a work schedule and calling out. I had an ongoing case the other year and with how the union screwed me over on it, I'm just thrilled I can turn the tables and say f'ck you kroger. I get 3 months fmla off and you can't do squat about it. Fmla will hold my job for the three months but after that I may transition to a new role and or find a new job within the ufcw affiliate family of stores or within the same company but another location. With state fmla I get paid leave and while it isn't 100% of my pay it's better than nothing.
