Here's one for you. According to our contract and state labor laws, we are suppose to get two 15-minute breaks if we work over six hours. This one woman, who was scheduled to work six hours, asked if she could stay over and take another 15-minute break. The answer of course was no.

My store gets a lot of OSATs, but our scores are lousy. Customer .comments always say how great we are, friendly, clean etc. We seem to be lavished with praise but are graded as satisfied. That is just like a fail, hence, crummy scores. Our manager just got into big trouble for continuously getting low s...

Newbies in our department keep asking about holiday pay on Easter. One of the long timers said no but our assistant department head insisted that we do. Because of this, some people volunteered to work Easter and were excited to have the holiday pay. Checked my paycheck this week, I'm not a newbie but...

Have you ever had a serious crime happen at your store?

Mr Frontenac

Are these numbers like reserved UPC codes for store brands or something? Years ago when I used to be a cashier in another state in a store chain unrelated to Kroger, their store brands began with these numbers. Now here with Kroger, I see these numbers.

I live in Louisville Kentucky and Kroger owns the town. No other comparable grocery stores are allowed as competitors. Kroger's meats and produce are over priced and inferior. Look at their 80% hamburger...it's the same light pink color that the 70% used to be. And their sales are a joke. Putti...

One front end manager tells me, "okay, from now on you are no longer allowed to do such and such and such." Next day, I ask a different front end manager if he knows about this rule. He says he's never heard of that rule. Same with one of the store co-managers.
