How many of you hard-working baggers have been through this? We have four rows of carts in our store lobby includin those dumb mini-carts. The stupid rule is that a bagger is to bring in carts six or less per load through the back door, push the rows forward, and don't bother to keep them straight. Their r...

Has anyone seen it? Kroger commercials are always bad to the point of being cringe worthy.

Four months ago we got a new store manager who came in like a ball of fire. My dept. manager stepped down and transferred because of it. He told me I needed to find a transfer (which I did but the new SM won't approve it), I talked to a merchandising rep who said yeah get used to it you're not going to li...

I'm tired of only getting 25 to 30 hours. I want full time I've been working at Kroger for over a year and a half. I'm in hour trouble right now because I've been asking for more hours! Can I apply and work at another Kroger across town or no? That way maybe I could get 40 hours a week or more! I only make 7.65 an h...

so I just went for a interview yesterday and got drugged test and filled in and signed paper work how long unti they get back t me to see when's my first day?

I was interviewed yesterday, and they made take a drug test and fill out typical paperwork. I have a lot of questions. 1. What do we wear for orientation? 2. I live in a "right to work" state, and I understand that Kroger has a union sort a thing. I don't want to join due to personal reasons. 3. Exactly how l...

How long does it take for your background check and drug test to come back? It's been a week and I start training this Sunday. I dont wanna start just to get fired so I wanna know in advance.

when we were introduced to order revolution, they told us we should be able to run all backstock every morning (we do day trucks) then leave those carts on the floor to set the new backstock on. This practice has never worked. Not in the beginning before hours were chopped, never. It's a silly concep...

Are union dues still deducted even If I am not scheduled to work the whole week?

kroagrr · Anonymous

I asked the union rep today if the union could make Kroger give us more help and she said no. I do not understand the union at times. My store is a marketplace and we have a skeletal crew to work that store. It is not working with not enough help. The union rep said that Kroger is telling the union that it is n...

Joy. With Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's holidays behind us, we leave behind one long, "fun" stretch in the world of retail and now enter a new, almost as obnoxious, time of the year, exclusive to Kroger (lucky us). The holidays have come and gone, so now it's time to "reempha...

I've been working here 3 months and as a cashier I constantly bend to get drinks from baskets. I'm 18 but my back hurts like hell once I leave work. If I need medical attention at some point will they cover it if I'm just 18.

Can someone tell me how many of the targets you have to meet to be eligible for each plan?

I don't know what right they THINK they have to screw up my set availability but they did it. They keep switching things around. I have my availability set for a reason, that's beneficial to me. I keep switching it back over and over, they keep re-doing it over and over. I try talking to them and they say th...

I am a status one employee. My store manager always changes the schedules, and she put me on three nights next week. Is a 10 to 6pm still considered a night shift, and is it still over time if you have to work three of them in a week? -- Edited by agibu on Friday 7th of October 2016 04:41:34 PM

Everyone just shows up whenever (between 11pm and 2am) and just works the truck until their assigned aisles are done. Doesn't matter if you're schedule 7hrs, 4hrs, or 8hrs, if it takes you 10 hrs you stay 10 hrs.

all this bare bones and "work more" stuff got me wondering what it would cost the company to pay out workers comp claims on employee(s) vs just hiring people and giving more hours. Add 40 hours to a dept's schedule can't cost more than someone working too hard and getting hurt (time off/replacing inju...
