I was doing the REQUIRED store sweeps when assigned when the FE supervisor called ME, NOT the other two courtesies on duty to put away 2 OVERFLOWING carts. Many were perishables. So I called them on it. Their response "is there a problem? Shall we take it to management?" We did, and I was sent...

I went in today and gave the assistant FES my two weeks' notice. Classes are about to start so I'd rather be studying than saying the same lines over and over. It's been quite a year with Kroger, and there's been plenty of great and awesome people I'd love to work with, as well as idiots and asses who I'd r...

Im new to kroger, but have worked hard and impressed quite a few people. I believe I'm being considered to become a checker, but I honestly have no clue who the checkers are in the store or what they do. Can someone tell me what checkers do, and what the pay usually is. I assume it's more than a bagger.

Anyone with the health insurance know what this means? The last two pay periods, they have been deducting $5.60, listed as "HEALTH COPAY" in addition to the $10.00 for family coverage and the $12.75 union dues. I can't find any other threads on this and have no idea why the additional $5.60...

I had to call out last night on my way to the ER, the night time manager was not a manager in produce and there wasn't even anybody in produce at the time, I told them what my name was, when I come in and who to call to cover my shift. all he did was leave a note that I called out... I called the assistant manager th...

I was recently hired for overnight stocking. I filled out a bunch of paperwork after the drug test came back with the front end manager, and she enrolled me into a new hire orientation class. I never knew when it was though. I've already done 2 days of computer training, some training with the grocer...

it feels like a lost cause. inevitably we'll have one lane that goes red for 3 minutes and that half hour is lost even if everything else is green. makes no sense. why judge the entire front end's half hour pass/fail performance on 5 minutes in one lane? it's pissing us off. management doesn't even...

I am one of the lucky ones. I had 3 interviews last week. I had to choose between Kroger and 2 other job opportunities. Guess which on I chose? Am I the only one waiting for the day kroger realizes the damage this system does to other departments and does away with it all together. This system does nothing but put pressure on front end staff and management. That pressure gets added onto us as department heads and associates working in the de...

Well if it's not obvious by now I am a courtesy clerk and thus work Front End. So I am a glorified bagger at $7.25 an hour (whee) lately making $80 a week with 13 hours. Sucks. To get my mind off of that, was wondering how much those on Front End -- or any department for that matter -- have seen go through a check...

So, as you all know, I was asked to work today even though it's my day off. This morning at about 11:30, I got a call from Kroger. I didn't answer it because I wasn't near my phone, but they left me a voicemail asking if I could come in at 12:30 or any time before 5 (The time that I chose to take). No. Just no. It's...

At my store and the other Kroger in town they have sushi chefs. Don't know about the store across town, but we've had it since February. I work in Kroger southwest under the local 1000 contract and I have been paid for working 40 hours for 12 weeks but they are saying because one of those days was a personal holiday that I got paid for a full 8 hour shift I can't be converted to full time. Now my question is is this true that personal days don't...
