There's a really nice responsible bagger at our store who goes out of his way to help us all the time. He never missed a single shift or called in. A manager caught him smoking a cigarette on his break and wants to fire him. Can they do that? He tells us that he'll be of age in 9 months and claimed family buys th...

I transferred to Drug/GM Sunday. I'm having my doubts about it. I'm back working nights again and 10 to 15 hours less a week. The workload is overwhelming. My back is killing me and I ache all over. I guess the worst that could happen is they put me back as cashier if I can't do the work. I'm so tired o...

My unit manager offered me Assistant manager of grocery (I've only been here for 8 months). And I've only been training in grocery for five days so far. And the grocery ma...

Must be something wrong with me working in retail and hating customers. But they suck. They are lazy and stupid. Who the hell goes to a grocery store looking for a box fan? Get the whole store riled up and then, "oh, those 20 inch fans are too big. I'm going to home depot". And how about, "U...

I've been at Kroger for about a year and have recently been promoted to the position of front end supervisor. While it's not an extremely hard job, it does come with a lot of added responsibility, and apparently no compensation. I'm still making the same ****ty 7.70 I was making to ring orders and bag gr...
