I just started working for Kroger. The orientation wasn't very thorough and the training stunk too. They didn't teach me a whole lot of anything and I have no idea how to see or set up and account with this express HR bullcrap. Can anyone help me, pleeeeeease!?

Dear Greedy Corporate Morons; It's time that you rethink your strategies. Your "Customer 1st" motto is a bunch of bunk. The shirts should read "Shareholders First--Customers Maybe". You have taken the most simple of jobs...running a grocery store and turned it into an...

I work midnights stocking and, I stopped carrying cash on me because homeless people are always wanting money. We have a regular that I have been giving money to and the last time I did I asked him, about his situation. He has no family in town and was in the Pen, and he said that he kind of likes his lifest...

Okay, well i am a bagger/cashier on the front end. I cannot stand it. It is hectic, we are always understaffed because of that freaking quevision. So that makes things more stressful. My front end manager has been with Kroger for 30 years and she still doesn't know how to do her job. She schedules the fro...

.... Not just me, but there are several of us suffering! I am a FES at 689, and we are right now doing great on the hunger bags, # 1 in district 7, (just had to get that in, sorry) but there is a consequense of us working so hard, and it's one that has not been taken into consideration. This store had to of been b...

At a job fair I applied to be a cashier or to work in another dept (this one is one of the huge stores that sells electronics, furniture, etc). At my follow up interview I was instead hired to be a floor supervisor because I have a lot of experience kissing ass :) Directing traffic and answering questions,...

In the 20+ years I've been with Kroger the employees seem to lose more and more with each contract. This is what we've lost so far: Local 227 1. 6 day pay. It used to be you got time and a half on the 6th day if you worked 6 days in one week, regardless if it was over 40 hours or not. 2. End of year bonuses for ful...

I started with Kroger in August 2002 as a 21 year old kid who didn't have a care in the world. It was fine for years as my responsibilities were few and the pay gradually increased. Got married in 09' and things were going fine up until March 2012 when I had to take a medical leave of absence on account of bein...

so, I've read many posts on here about people not being able to take breaks, having management or others try to bully them out of taking breaks, yet I hadn't really experienced this at my job. Sure there are the times everyone wants to take a break at the same time so you kind of have to wait to take yours.....

I rely on rides to get to work. I am a part time employee but am called in to come early or on my days off nearly every single day off I get. Mostly because every week our schedule is full of holes and instead of fixing it my dept. head just waits and calls us in. Today I was scheduled for a short 6 - 10 shift. I told...

Just need to get stuff off my shoulder, please ignore if you don't like useless rants... So, I've been at Kroger for a little over a year now, started out as a lowly courtesy/utility clerk making $7.25, became a cashier about six months in (though about half my days were still cleaning/utility, but tha...

Why in God's name do they have to torment both customers and employees to death, with that 24 hour overhead radio/music nightmare, constantly blaring away?????? (Who goes to the store to have to listen to Dillon's Radio garbage??!!) I absolutely loathe being "forced to listen to" overh...

From what I've seen it's simply A/B = C (earned ring tender time divided by actual ring time) = efficiency and nothing more. But the CCG sheet shows sign on, inactive hours like it's indicated in the score somehow. Does anyone know if it's true? I've seen posters say signing off and securing after order...

Hi, and thank you for calling your local Kroger store, if you would like to speak to the bakery, forget it, they are busy decorating cakes for people who don't show up, if you would like to speak to the produce department to ask them if we have the bananas on sale, yes you idiot, we're a grocery store, if you...
