For about a 30 minute span, we had 6 registers open and only 2 baggers (including me) to bag them. This was during the "evening rush hour" and the acsm never bothered to call the 3 or 4 other baggers that were "working" today up front. 1/2 the time it's the scheduler's fault, but 1/...

Okay, so I have worked at my store as a Deli Clerk for about a year and a half now, and I honestly HATE the deli, but want to move up. I always see bids for ACSM and was wondering if it is possible for me to even become one. Help? Would it even be worth signing if I have no front end experiance? Would I just be auto...

How hard is it to transfer into a full time position into a different division? I'm a department lead and thinking about transferring to a different division. Will I have to basically start over and work my way up or is it possible to find a full time position open? Also the store I'm at is non union and...

Recent college grad looking atthe Kroger co-manager. What's the salary like? I hear it's anywhere from 35-41k? Why such a gap? What's it like in the Michigan area (suburbs of Detroit)-affluent and busy area. I'm looking for a true career where I can grow and climb the ladder....is this possible wit...

They're doing their best to shorten the checkout lines, which is great. But waiting in line for customer service is always a huge pain. I dread when I need something from there because it's an ordeal. They generally only have one person at the counter (even if there's two people, one is usually sitti...

I'm less than a week into the job and I'm struggling. I'm a cashier and one of the front end managers told me that I should be up to speed in two more weeks. How likely is it that I could be fired if I'm not? I think I'm doing okay, I'm just slow, but I feel confident that I'll get faster as I gain more confidence....

I work in the Produce Department in the Kroger Central Division. On Sunday afternoon while filling the bananas a customer came to me and asked. "Do you work here or just stock Bananas?" I couln't believe it. Can anyone top this?

I just got hired and was given 34.5 hours my first week. I told them my availability was open, but that doesn't mean that I want to work that many hours. Can I specify that I only want say 20 to 25 hours a week? I don't care what days or times, I just want less hours.

Okay I know this is a shot in the dark but does anyone here know how long the probation period is for a cashier in Ohio? I lost my handbook and everyone keeps telling me to see the service director to get a new one, even management, but I never work the same hours as her. I recently got a pay raise for having p...

Is there such a thing as experience pay, where you make more based on the amount of experience you had before you came to Kroger?

Hi everyone, I'm a relatively new employee at Kroger, but past my probationary period-I can tell because they gave me my pay raise for having previous cashier work. Towards the end of my shift I started feeling super itchy on the back of my knees (I know, it's weird) and now I have raised bleeding ski...

Raise?

I'm transferring and just wondering if I would get a cost of living raise since housing is more expensive in the part of the country I am transferring to? Is there such a thing as a cost of living raise with kroger?

I have worked for Kroger now for almost 20 years. Had I have known back then what I know now, I would have ran the other way. I just love the new blue t-shirts that say " GLAD YOU ARE HERE" and " GREAT FOOD LOW PRICES." They should read the truth and say, " NO HOURS LOW WAGES."...

Don't you love the new shirts we got to wear? And now we have signs saying new lower prices, wow fuel points!, and Faster checkout! The prices, that's debatable. Fuel points, nothing new there! But new faster checkout? How! We still don't have the hours and hardly anyone scheduled up front so it...

We have had 2 workers leave in the last 2 weeks and no replacments or extra hr...

I work customer service center, 4 - 8hr shifts, and we are never given breaks. Our managers don't seem to think that we deserve them - after all we just stand around all day and do nothing! Of course we are called to give the rest of the front end their 15 - 30 minutes breaks. Somewhere the management, corpo...

Can someone tell me exactly what a "job step" in this company is? I looked on express hr because I noticed I had gotten a raise, and then I saw the job step thing. There are only 4 people in my department. My job step is 20, my next job step is 0030. I don't know what this means.

I work non union at kroger and want to transfer to a store that is union . I've been with the company for 6years and I am a lead, will my vacation and pay transfer going from a non union store to a union store? Also how do I join the union?

So yeahhhh, we were told by management today to make sure to put those tacky BoB stickers on *every* item at the bottom of a cart that isn't bagged. We've never done this before, what on Earth is the point even, when not a single customer gives a darn about a sticker of any sort unless they're 5. And this is i...
