I'm merly venting here so don't hold thay against me please! This is about my department head who by the way is the worst of the worst. The situtation happened on Saturday. The first problem is the fact that she jumped all over me for having to leave the department to help a customer. Secondly, she blamed me because she wrote the schedule which she schedulef me 12 to 8 pm on Friday and 11am to 6 pm on Saturday. She was very snotting and condosending when she demanded why I didn't tell her about her mistake. She told me that everyone in my department works 8 hour shifts but that's not true since we have a parttimer that only works 4 hour shifts and another one that only works 5 an half hours a shift. She forced me to stay over againgt my will. Now tell me what the heck kind of crap is that!?! Going to management is pointless. And the Union isen't much better. What is a person to do? Oh by the way, she is such a control freak that it's not funny and she is so insane that she belongs at the funny barn swinging from the ceiling with the rest of the monkeys'!
sometimes a good venting is necessary. i'm sorry you had such a crappy ending to your week. hope this week is better. i am trying to go full time and the 8 hour shifts swinging from 6:30 am to midnight are killing me!

i hope this week is going better for you. i am very fortunate to have a good department head. as difficult as Kroger can be, i could not imagine having to work for a jerk on top of everything else!
This is why working at Kroger can be so hard...you can't even be nice to someone or sympathize without some jerk telling you that your being nosy. on this post it really looks like the anonymous jerk is doing the intruding, though...doesn't it?
i cant believe your not like me your typing anonymously you aint like me. if your not like me then your wrong. look at me my bum is on your lips my bum is on your lips maybe you can give it a little kiss
So this girl invited me over to her house early one morning. She said she need help with math, and offered to make me breakfast for all my trouble. I figured hell free food and time with a OK looking girl why the hell not. So I get up around 5am to get at her house around 6. It was kinda hard finding the place because it was sorta tucked in back of this big forest. I get to her house and ring the door bell, only half awake. She answers the door in a very small tank top and short shorts. "Oh, hay you made it, come on in." She said looking tired as well. I couldn't help but wonder why she would want me to come some early if she wasn't used to the hour ether? "Sorry about the mess and the time, this is about the only time everyone else is out of the house and I wanted to be alone with you."
"Alone but why, I thought you needed help on math." I said then felt instantly stupid. She smiled sweetly and offered me a seat at the table. "I have a big family, and they tend to be very nosy we wouldn't have gotten anything done had they been here." I nodded and sat down in doing so I got a very nice look at her ass which was actually very nice. "Do you like?" She asked me and I thought I had been caught, "Wait what?" I asked trying to keep my cool. "Do you like pancakes? I'm told I make some of the best, I even add different kinds of fruit to them. Also, I have some bacon and eggs going as well. Shouldn't be much longer." I nodded and she walked back into the kitchen, as the door opened I smelled the most wonderful smell ever.
I couldn't help but follow her in the the kitchen where I saw some of the best looking pancakes I had ever seen ever. I couldn't help but smile a big smile as I wondered what they would taste like. "I'm almost done, do you want orange juice or apple juice?" She asked me I told her apple and she poured me some from a chicken shaped kettle on the counter. I took it and drank it happily it was had the right amount of sweetness. "Why don't you go and take a seat, we can get started after we eat." I did as she said and sat down at my seat at the table.
Minutes later she appears with a bunch of big plates of food and sets them on the table. Then begins to dish out food for me putting over 9,000 light and fluffy, blueberry filled pancakes on the plate in front of me, and some bacon and eggs on a separate plate. "There you go if you want more when your done with that just ask." She then started to get some food of her own and I put syrup on my pancakes and took a big bite. It was the best thing I had ever tasted, ever. I hadn't even realized it but I was making a horrible face despite how awesome they were. "Oh, is something wrong?" She asked me sounding really concerned for me, she got up and started rubbing my back. "No it's just usually, I only have Reese's for breakfast." To which she screamed. "Candy, for breakfast?" "No." I replied. "Reese's puff cereal, it's candy for breakfast!"
kaitline1 - do you have a little brother/sister? the anonymous posters on this site remind me of a super annoying little brother. they want the attention, best to ignore them or you'll just stress yourself out.
u said 11 to 6 and 12 to 8? That is wrong because if you worked 8 hours u would have an hour lunch. so add that in there next time. IE 12-9 or 11-7. dumbass. they are doing u wrong if u work just 8 hours
lokee901- first off i'm not a dumba**. Secondly, there's no law oe rule saying that we get an hour lunch! The law states that we get two 10 minute breaks.Where did you get your information at?
i am not sure if this is kroger wide...but in our store, if you work 4 to 6 hours, then you get one 15 minute break. if you work 7 to 9 hours then you get either two 15 minutes breaks or one 30 minute break. that's how we schedule them. we are paid for our breaks, but we must clock in and out for them to show that we are actually getting the time off.
Maybe its different in other areas but here in Indiana, if you work 4 hours you get 1-15 minute break. 5-6 hours of work 2-15 minutes breaks. 7 hours of work a lunch? and 8 hours 1 lunch and 2-15 breaks.
Like I said before, federal law states that you get two 15 minute breaks. Nowhere does it say that an employer has to give you an hour lunch. Trust me on this since I actually did look it up and the fact that my mother works for the government. Don't believe me, that's fine to. But you really should look up the federal law before anything else. States also may have there own laws about this as well but most states actually will follew federal law on these kind of things.
