My boss is also a *******. But my bigger problem is the high and mighty 19 year olds that work as "floor supervisors." They put that black vest on, and they think that they have all kinds of power. I work in several different departments, as well as on the front end. Apparently, one of these so called floor supervisors in particular, has nothing better to do than to write down every little thing that I do. I've never had a problem with anyone at work, and I have worked there for over 8 years. I think they are jealous, I caught one of them looking at the book that I have to sign when I get my paycheck, and I'm sure that now everyone knows how much I make an hour, but, why should that be held against me? I feel like they are trying to make me quit, and that is definitely not going to happen. Going to management does me no good either because it's all a game of favorites. I wish I could quit and find a new job, but having worked there for over 8 years, no one is willing to pay me anywhere near what I'm making now. Ugh, it's so frustrating. I mean, how is me going outside to make a quick phone call to my husband telling him I'm going to be late, any different from them standing behind the service desk all night making personal calls in front of customers? I guess I needed to vent.
I work in the front office and im sick of everyone saying is all we do is talk and dont do s***. but when you guys F*** up on the register and dont know how to fix we have to do or when you make a coustomer mad we have to take care of it. But yes there are so people making personal phone call and its wrong. And the person on floors ITS THERE JOB TO WRITE DONE THINGS YOU CAN DO SO THEY CAN COACH YOU ON IT. its called observing.. and we dont just sit around and do nothing if it was not for us doing what we do the front end would not work as smooth as it does. I think this will give all you side help and cashiers and bagger on how much stuff and s*** we have to put up with....
No, my front end managers do not "coach" me. They try to get everyone in trouble. It's all a game of favorites. They figure that if they rat people out, (and I'm not the only one this happens to, even employees not on the front end), then they can save themselves from getting in trouble. I'm sorry but when the desk person is standing behind the service desk eating, and drinking products THEY DID NOT BUY and swearing in front of small children, there are more issues. I understand that not all front end supervisors are like that, but the ones in particular that I work with are. They get away with murder because they are super buddy buddy with the SFEO, to her face at least. I refuse to suck up to get preferential treatment. That's not going to get me anywhere. I used to be a floor supervisor before I went to part time, and I know how the job is supposed to work, you don't stand there observing while other people need help, bagging or price checks. And your number one priority is the customer. If a customer needs help, no matter how asinine, you help them, don't deny them service because you want to finish hearing about how your 19 year old friend got waster last night. I'm sorry, but the store I work in is out of control, and it does me no good to talk to my manager because they all kiss his a**, so he protects them. My next stop is HR. I'm sick of feeling like they are trying to get me fired for not sucking up.
