So I work in the dairy dep't, at the world of Kroger...I stock bread and stuff, as well as work in frozen at points in time....Okay, so the other day the bakery dept lost a member..he quit because he found out he has a scholarship to go to college...so they're short on a person. I go in ready to work my bread and they tell me that I'll be helping in bakery for three nights, a five to nine shift. Let me add, by the way...that I've never spent a second in the bakery, and I have NO idea how to bake cookies or cakes or cup cakes, etc. AND, I'll be all alone during those four hours...WHAT?-Am I losing my mind, is Kroger that damn stupid?-what do you people think of this...no experience, no help...just thrown into the lions pit...I hate my job, I really do. I'm thinking that if this bull-**** continues I'm outta there to find a real job.
i was in the deli too, and they said that i did such a good job that they were going to keep me and i bucked on them. i told them to take me out of the deli or i was going to call the union and maybe file a grievance on them. when the managers in my store hear the word grievance it scares them and they put you back where you were before. i used to work in the kroger store #743, they had me in the deli for a year and forthat year i kept on asking them to take me out and they wouldn't listen to me, so i did what i thought was best. i transferred to another store. they lost a good worker because they wouldn't take me out of the deli. now i'm very happy where i am at, and tomorrow they are starting to train me in the office, that's where i want to be.
