When it comes to television advertising, Kroger really sucks compared to our competitors. They look like "used car commercials". Bad graphics, stupid testimonials, and all around suck across the board. At least in MY division. Our competitors commercials look GREAT!
Now, I am not saying that the quality of commercials is the biggest difference maker. I would think that prices are most important. However, I think that how you present yourself does play a huge role. Would you show up to a job interview wearing jeans with holes in them? No, you wouldn't. But it is quite evident that Barney Kroger would.
yeah, kroger commercials are pretty lame, and in my opinion a waste of money half the time. unless your promoting some major sale, a company as well known as kroger is wasting money, just putting adds on tv, just because they can
THe only time you'll usually see Kroger commercials is eating Holidays and the last week of the month advertising to get Senior citizens to come in and spend that SS check. along with the WIC people. Theyre usually short, cheap commercial splashing Krogers name out there. It gets the job done. You'll also see alot on the news around afternoon and late nite. They work in conjuction with the stations when bad weather is coming like a ice storm or snow. When disaster strikes.......Kroger is there for you dollar......
The ones in our area advertise a faster checkout. They leave out the part that they are not giving us more hours, we have all our stock people on reg all the time, and service has gone to hell. I want to see that on TV 1+1 QUEING bull**** in numbers
Usually anywhere they have this "Seniors Day" you'll see the commercials a week before. I worked in the Delta Div. for 2 years and hardly ever seen a commercial, thats because they don't do Seniors Day.
But in Zone 1 they have Seniors Day so they plaster it over the tv the week before. Its all a tax write off gimmick. They knock off the sales tax for seniors that day.Anywhere of 5%-10% off the bottom line.
Seniors Day is usually in states or zones it appears that still has the Grocery Sales Tax. TN has that tax so whallla....Seniors Day.
