I spent my first day at Kroger doing computer training modules. Those modules are long, boring, and cheesy. Especially the part with Bob or Bottom Of Bascart . I zoned out on some parts like the one about cutting boxes. I couldnt name the parts of the box cutter for my life! At one point this girl who was on break walked in ansaid "dont fall asleep." How about you guys? Was it enjoyable? lol
What I hate about them are that some of them won't allow you to skip to the next section until the audio is done. My thing is I read faster than the damn person on the computer.

The modules are pretty easy, most of the answers are common sense and you can take them as often as you need to pass. Multiple Choice especially is a crapshoot (two choices are almost always completely wrong and the third has obvious wording fault...and always "All the above" and "None of the above" are always correct)
Here's a neat trick, when you start a module select 'MENU' at the bottom corner and just click on the next section, rinse an repeat and you don't have to worry about the boring crap (plus you get done alot quicker.)
I can't get my version of windows to stop making updates. This is a terrible experience, because once I had a conflict between Windows Defender and avast. The computer couldn't start. So I started looking for a replacement antivirus and found an article about . Not a bad replacement, to be honest. I recommend watching it.

This is not a computer help forum. But I will say this you do not need Avast you do not need Webroot. All you need is Windows Defender and maybe something like malware bytes if you are paranoid. But if you do have 3rd party AV you need to disable defender. And as far as Windows Updates just pause them and check once a week or every other day.
I was a re-hire when I went into this. The first time I got hired you turned in an application to the hiring manager, they interviewed you. If they liked you, you got an interview with the store manager. If he liked you then, you were hired, sent for a drug screen and began work the same week. Because Kroger is what Kroger is, I knew what I was getting back into, so when they said go for computer training I milked it out on purpose. All the gen z's and gen y's were hurrying through in like 1 day. They didn't know what they were getting into. I spent 3 days on it and got paid the same as going to the store.

That's the way I was hired in 1994 I never even took a drug test. I was hired same day started working right off. Those were good o'l days. And people take these test then they do not do what they are supposed to. I am going to use this don't mean to be gross but a good example. Body fluid cleanup. They give you a test the proper way to take care of it. But people do not do it the right way. They find the easiest way they can and then they are done. Most of the time they just leave it or just put spill magic over it they either leave it or mop it up after spill magic then they leave the dirty mop and bucket and don't dump it. That's one thing I got sick and tired of is lazy ass people.
Manager said to spend no more than one minute on a ten minute module by skipping to the end and guessing, using common sense on the questions over and over really fast.
The modules are only there for liability coverage.
