How do I change my availability? I was told that we could do it online, and that was also where we could request days off. But it is not on HR Express. Sooo I don't know what to do.
If your division is on eschedule, you go to greatpeople.me, sign in, enter the eschedule section of the website, and do it from there. If your division is not on eschedule, you have to submit your availability in person to whomever writes your department's schedule each week.
i have been with the company for about 5 months and told my manager that i am going to need most weekends off, i barely get any i need a way to reinforce my schedule needs. and make sure i get the days off i need, i am a part time employee working well over full time hours every week, need help anyway i can get it. i have also tried talking to my manager, but it has not gotten me much of anywhere.
Yeah, I agree, that ain't gonna happen. Any half competent manager would rather give you off 3 weekdays than weekends. Reconsider asking for maybe either Sat or Sun and a weekday if you need time off.

On greatpeople.me when you look at your schedule, it just pops up in a window in the same page. At the top of that window, there is a link that says "my eschedule portal" which, when clicked, opens a new page where you can submit time off and availability requests by clicking the "my time off" and "my availability" links.
Too bad you don't work at the Kroger store I work at. There is a cashier there that doesn't work any Fridays or Saturdays and recently started working on Thursday. Really. Looks like it depends on who you are.

Well as long gone as they work Sundays, that's the bigger issue, so...
I work for kroger part-time and have requested every weekend off through greatpeople.me. My availability request was approved and I don't work weekends.
