I went to my mailbox hoping to find the envelope with my vacation time payout there only to come across this big envelope from Kroger. So upon ripping it open to see what's inside, I notice some kind of brochure / magazine peeking through. I yank it out fully and read what is on the cover "Congratulations on achieving your 5 year anniversary!" I bust out laughing. Then I thumb through it to see that I am eligible for a little token gift. I chose the nice pop up tent. I plan to use it when I protest outside my store this fall for my wrongful termination.

Good luck trying to get the anniversary gift...anything you order generally is sent directly to your home store so Management can present the gift and card to you in order to thank you in person.

I get it it....that's too funny! The joke's on thedude! LOL.
it took one girl over a year to get her gift. last girl it took like 6 months.
That's because when it arrives, the Manager can't be bothered with taking the time to appreciate the employee so the task gets passed on to the co-manager...the gift then sits on the desk, gets moved around then passed on to someone else...it eventually ends up in the bottom desk drawer or closet or the trash...in a lot of instances if the gift is a good item the Manager or co-managers just keeps it for themselves...This has happened a lot in Mid-South Division...i've seen the newer management recruits open up gifts and start using it for themselves...they have no value or appreciation for store associates what-so-ever...lots of theft committed by young self centered gets-their-way-at-any-cost co-managers...so much for Kroger's CORE Values...

Pretty much what happened to me. It took me over a year to get mine, and this was even though I kept nagging them about it every so often. I had all but given up when one day the manager was cleaning out his desk and found it in the drawer. He told me he was "pleased to present it to me." If you were so pleased why did you shove it into the bottom of your drawer in the first place?
Happened to me as well...at my 5 year, 10 year, 15 year, and 20 year anniversaries. It took months to get my last gift, and a LOT of reminders. Manager wanted to have a photo op...I opted out and asked for the gift already...j
well honestly, I didn't order anything but just tossed it into the trash. makes sense they send it to the store rather than to our homes. all your stories about not getting them rings so true about Kroger.

Happened to me. Once. When I called them on it and found it had been opened... I rose a stink. As a result I was "told to leave" early. This was an alternative to suspension. I was like 'really?' Maybe I shouldn't have lost it..., but its the principle of thing.

I'm in the Mid South Division and it took over a year for me to get my 20th anniversary gift. The new store manager found it behind a file cabinet. My 25th anniversary is coming up next year. I wish they would come up with some better gifts though. I don't need any more clocks. I don't want any jewelry. I don't need another pair of cheap binoculars. I don't need or want a crystal punch bowl set.
I didn't even know you got gifts for anniversaries. Well actually I did get a deli meal for my first anniversary so maybe i'll get one for my 2nd... hey it's better than nothing :P

It's only for certain ones: 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th, 25th, etc.
That sucks. My 15th anniversary I got...wait for it... Suspended!! And on my b-day to boot!! So Kroger calls me today (told em "NO!) " to come in and work today, on my b-day, aka suspension day.) They said it was a mistake. You know what Kroger?!? PISS OFF!!!

They would void it. But knowing my manager who can be a real ass, my suspension is probably renewed with a couple days tacked on. Because of how I said no. He said " enjoy your DAYS off." And hung up before I said anything.
I was courtesy/utility for a week. Stupid *******s have been doing poorly on their sweep logs and they thought I only logged in once 1/3 times the entire hour. Which I know is company policy... But it's better than NO friggin log ins. I have to go in today to pick something up... So I'll know by today if management tacked on extra days due to yesterday's "episode"
Another issue is the prizes go way down in quality over the yrs. On my 5th there was a small yetI, small Samsonite luggage, apple tablet and nice stuff this is nyb10 yrs and jvc ear bids that cost 20 bucks some fake jewelery and alarm clock all under 30 bucks....what happened and no one got holiday pay what's that about??? This company had changed soooo drastically since pandemic and they have gotten soooooo greedy!!!
I got a WeatherX Lantern & Powerbank. Tiny lantern with a battery you can use to try and charge your phone. I think people make stuff no one wants to buy and Kroger gets a serious discount. Cash is always better. Would rather have the $3.

This is what the public is slowly, finally realizing: that fake-ass plandemic was engineered, in part, soley for this reason. To create a panic-shopping environment where everybody is constantly spending everything they've got and making these already way too rich c o c k suckers even richer.
The plandemic stepped up their greed. And it stepped up my shop lifting. To date I've collected over 3K in cash money. I have a stack of banz from my 'aquisitions'.

At every point in human history, when ever the rich get too rich and the poor too poor, there is upheaval and backlash and REVOLUTION. It is a lesson the super rich have to keep learning again and again and again.
