well actually 2 lists... I want to compare good things about kroger and bad. So think of 1 thing per post that is good and 1 thing that sucks and we'll see which list ends first.
Good: we get insurance
Bad: it's retail-work weekends and evenings (apparently this is a good thing according to the little announcement they play in store). Because...yeah everyone loves working those!
I can probably say that all the bad decisions that are made about Kroger are at the corporate level (Key Retailing, etc.)
The good thing about Kroger is that we have wonderful people that work in the store and are now running the store. Also, most of the customers are nice. The people make the store. :)
Overall, I feel happy with where I work because of the people in my store.

I like most of my coworkers and customers.
I hate they won't schedule enough people yet expect us to get everything we need to get done finished before the end of the night.
Bad: work at night so the only bad thing is we have to take an hour lunch... feel like its a waste of time could be working than sitting getting sleepy

Its cute that the recruiters sweet talk the hell out of you to make it seem like working for this god awful company is the best thing since slice bread while poking fun at Walmart when in reality ive seen multiple people leave Kroger to go to Walmart because they payed better and let them work better flexible hours that they wanted to work.
Bad thing: the pay, if youre good at what you do good luck getting promoted, bad employees dont get fired they get a smack on the hand and you have to clean up after them so you dont get a C.A. Union Protects people that shouldnt be protected.
