My store has officially been reduced to a skeleton crew, and we're still having employees quit, and management is still treating employees badly. Do they not see the problem?
The problem our store is facing now is that we have barely just enough people to run the store. Now, where the problem comes in is the fact that vacations exist. That means people are having to stay overtime and help out in other departments after whatever 8-hour shift was they had for the day. We have stockers staying an extra 5 hours after their 8 hour shift to open a lane on the front end, night crew people stopping mid-shift to open on self-scan, people in receiving helping out in Drug GM to replace one of the other Drug GM people who is having to help out in Pharmacy, Day shift people taking over night shifts in departments they don't even work in, etc.
And every time our store hires new people now, 95% or them quit within the first week or two. It makes me wonder if our store would be able to stay afloat if we had 1 or 2 of our core people quit.
They don't like paying out OT and people get tired of staying late. I've dealt with this, sooner or later they'll hire people and tell folks to go home on time.
No they don't like to pay overtime and they can't keep people because of the crappy pay.....the stupid useless key retailing b.s. and all the other rigamaroll. I think if those corporate vampires would get rid off all their usesless over paid office people and put hours back into the stores and run them right, and paid people better..they would see better results and more cash for their money grabbin asses.
