It could have been worse.  The bakery department sometimes gets in cakes upside down.

You can file a claim on product like this.

What's wrong with it?  It's only 6 months expired!

That is a kmp product.  I have had tortillas come from them expired.  I didn't even have to open case to see date on outside.

We have had a case of kroger corn with 2 flats, 24 cans come in completely empty of vegetables.  The cans were sealed and case was wrapped.  It was 20#s lighter than normal and the person still sent it from the warehouse like that!

We have actually found product stuffed in the back of our shelves that was almost 2 years old. If you see a Kroger product with pretty pictures on it rather than the boring, uniform design that our new product has, it's likely worth a quick look.

That's why they change packaging every now and then.

We had an ENTIRE pallet come in with OUTDATED product at least a week or two old. Guess where it went when I unloaded the thing? That's right... To our product recovery to get sent back. No way ANYONE should have to buy crap like that. I've even cut open the boxes of the outdated product to make damn well sure it didn't make its way to the sales floor.

This got me to thinking...they want everything done faster and faster, so how much do they expect you to rotate in grocery....typically our guys don't rotate at all and then they wonder why we get multiple carts of outdates when inventory comes around.  So I've been rotating (I typically do things the correct way), I find it funny that it takes so much time to find the date on some of the products (the ones that aren't printed on the case) so if I'm supposed to get so much work done, there's no way I've got time to look for a date.  Heck half the time the "new" case that I'm about to stock has an older date than the one already on the shelf so I think gee I'm glad I didn't rotate that product!
