I am new in deli dept at a Kroger in IN. Can't seem to find a list of standard 4-digit codes used with sliced-to-order deli meats and bakery products. IS there a list somewhere???? It seems like everything I find on the net is relating to PRODUCE, not deli!!??
Yeah, there is one pasted to our deli case as well. Since I posted this, a manager copied that sheet for me. However there are other codes for various items not available each and every day that are not on the list. (Entirely new to retail, so this is a learning experience for sure).
Of course, knowing that the internet is a vast storehouse of unlimited knowledge ) I figured I could "cheat a little" and find a site with an EXTENSIVE list of these codes and simply print them off here at home. Hmm... maybe that sounds a little too much like homework? Will Kroger get upset if they find out I memorized a code while off the clock?
We also have one taped to our case, but every period there is a new price guide that comes out. This period started weeks ago and I still haven't been able to get my dept head to print out the new one. I'm going to have to do some investigating to see where its at so I can print it myself!
There is a master PLU guide that u should have in your dept if not go on to home page and go to deli it's under policies and procedures I think or I can fax one to u
