Write Up Expiration?

(Long story short).

I was given a verbal warning about my absenteeism, then was written up. (I had a doctor's appointment, but whatever).

That was 7 months ago. 

How long are write ups kept in your file? 

I've been feeling like death, but am scared to call out.

I would think it's rolled off by now; afaik they normally only last 3 or 6 months, depending on the contract.

Depending on your contract and state laws, if you have a doctors note accompanying your appointment, than that note trumps ANY and ALL possibilities of a write up that may occur.

2nd, depending in your contract write ups last from 3-7 months. At our store they "go away" (lie dormant) after 6 months, just waiting to reactivate itself should you try for arbritation. Check with your contract and state laws
