Question about personal days, aren't you supposed to get paid for them? I've been working for Kroger for about a year and a half, I requested a personal day off for last week for a doctor appointment and it was approved. I looked at my paystub today and I was not paid for the personal day, just the amount of hours I worked the rest of the week.
to my understanding, nobody at any company gets paid personal days. It is a day that you take off for personal business. On other hand, if it were a vacation day, that would be another matter entirely

Per our contract, full time employees get 2 paid personal holidays a year. Part time don't get any.
Also, you'll need to write it in the book if you want to get paid for it, just like vacation time. As anon already said, just get with the payroll person or management and let them know so it can be added on a later check.
