Any Advice?

I work my ass off in the fuel center. Another worker that is a slob and doesn't do any of the chores on the list is scheduled more hours than me, even though she's only been there 2 months more than me. I'm constantly told by others that even the boss doesn't like her, though no one reprimands her and she gets away with everything. When she is scheduled to close, she wont change the garbage. So the next night I have to. Since she didn't do it, the bags are heavier and rip easier. She's even called our manager an ass and told me how horrible of a manager he is!

A coworker suggested I tell the manager, but I really don't want to cause trouble. I mean I do A LOT for this fuel center. I have came in early twice in one week for them, and I even came in on my birthday because they were short staffed and had no one else who would answer the phone. What should I do? Will it get easier?

She gets more hours than you because of seniority. if you can tough it out she'll probably end up quitting.

Thought about moving into the store? Fuel center employees get shafted when it comes to the contract here.

Take a look at your contract, but I honestly thing that fuel center employees operate like pharmacy employees in the sense that they are non Union. I honestly think that probably what is happening is that your schedule writer had eschedule write it and she is given more hours as a result of her seniority, but I believe that if you went to your dept. manager and asked for more hours that they most likely COULD give them to you and not be in any kind of contract violation. Whether or not they would do this is the question. Good luck. I will say that the store isn't much better in this respect, unless you have been in for a while, the union will shaft you even worse in the store.

The fuel center is Union same as store. There is nothing that you can really do about the person above you sinice it is based upon sonority. You basically have to tough it out or move to the store if you can't deal with it. And you cant asks for more hours , like our fuel center we only get 148 hours each week and that's it. How those hours are given is up the schedule writer and e-schedule.

Actually here we are able to join the union even though we work in fuel. I would move into the store, but there is always drama and feuds between each department. At least in fuel I don't have all that chaos and drama to deal with..

And yeah I can't ask for more hours (which sucks) but the manager said I could ask to work inside for more hours. But I like the fuel center. Plus there is a woman there that works the CS desk (As well as accounting) that hates my guts even though she doesn't know me. So I want to stay in fuel as long as possible. But last night I looked at the schedule and found out that I'm scheduled more hours than her now (I'm guessing she's being punished by the store for not doing her job)

If you don't like your job then quit I'm sure the other people in the fuel center would be happy
