store manager cutting hours
Permalink

Anyone else in the mid-atlantic area having their store manager cut hours from e-schedule ?

E-schedule will schedule say 140hrs. for a dept and store mgr. will cut them to 115hrs. Sales are almost doubled over last year. Pain in the butt with no hours, more sales, waiting on customers, and getting called to the front every 1/2 hour to help out. Mgr. raises hell if any OT happens except for when corporate is rumored to show. This crap is getting old!

I am not in Mid- Atlantic division. But it is pretty typical they cut hours right after the holidays here in central division....

I'll tell you why they cut hours during the holiday.  It's so the manager can receive a bigger bonus.

It isn't "more sales" if your store is undermanned for 2 weeks. The OSS will be so ridiculous, people will just shop somewhere else. Kroger forgets sometimes that they are not the only grocery retailer on the planet.

I do not understand Kroger's logic with manager bonues.

It's like they are saying "Cut 500 hours and make sure total store OSS is 200 or more."

That's when you cut them. Cut them so bad they wish you didn't cut 'em so bad.
