Insurance premium?

My insurance premium wasn't taken out of my check this week and naturally the benefits office is closed until Monday.

Did this happen to anyone else?

Same here, probably has to do with the new year and changing rates.

Good! I won't even be mad if they take this week's out of next week's check, I just really don't want my coverage to lapse in any way.

so sick of these holidays messing everything up - paper checks didn't come out until today this week too! I'm sorry, if my direct deposit goes through on schedule, no reason why the paper can't either

So you're saying that the people handling and delivering these paper checks don't deserve to have the day off? Yes, checks are printed automatically, requiring only one supervisor over the entire process. However, those checks aren't going to move themselves from A to B, are they?

Or they could do it the day after, like the other other jobs.

And if it's done the day before, what will make it so special to jump ahead of the queue of the thousands of other letters, parcels, shipments, and cargo that's ahead of it?

Besides, if every job does it "the day before", then no job has.
