I'm a cashier, I never really operated the U-Scan other than for briefly relieving the attendant for break/lunch. As a cashier I regularly keep track of my ring tender score (No Sale > 96> SignOn) and I'm usually good with keeping up with how fast and effective Kroger wants us to be (usually I'm around 95%-102% on the weekly printed report). As of this past week I got scheduled a couple of shifts as a cashier, and a couple of 8 hour shifts as the U-Scan attendant. I noticed that when I do a "No Sale" >96>"SignOn" on the U-Scan robot were I sign in with my Operator Number my ring tender is very very low.
Some people that I ask say that signing on to U-Scan doesn't affect my overall ring tender score, some people say it does. I guess I will find out when the report it printed.
Your no-sale 96 sign-on slip will show a report of the items per minute, tender time, etc for each moment your number stays logged on. Running on the SCO will, in fact, affect the information on the slip. However, it does not affect your actual score. Any time spent on the SCO is ignored when calculating your score in the system at the end of the week.
i do both uscan and register, most people will tell you that it doesnt. and i have learned myself that if the entire shift is spent signed onto to either uscan OR a register than no it wont, but if you spend part of your shift signed onto a register and part signed onto uscan that it does...
