Not the Meat/Seafood Department's fault.
It came that way from the distributor. It isn't the first time this has happened, and it won't be the last.
That's why our fish is NOT SUSHI GRADE, despite many people thinking it is.
In addition to what the above poster said:
99% of the fish in the seafood department has parasites in it. That's why you COOK the fish. It even says so in the article, that the parasites die above 140F.
This article is just fear-mongering.
Yeah. I had this happen before in Dallas area. It has nothing to do with the store.
Lots of wild caught fresh fish has worms in it. Used to see it a lot specially in snapper when its really fresh.
