This grocery store chain fired a bunch of developmentally disabled employees for no reason, and completely got rid of the courtesy clerk classification.
What would happen to Kroger if they got rid of all the cc's? :o
Then they would have to throw the whole idea of "Faster Checkout" completely out the window because without baggers, all transactions will definitely take longer.
I have always thought that Kroger would get rid of the cashiers before anybody else. they scheduled more baggers than cashiers. it does not make sense. but anything Kroger does anymore does not make sense.
not all cashiers calls in a lot. I have been with Kroger for 28 years and I have only missed probably 30 days in 28 years. I have never took sick leave. people does not have a good work ethic like it used to be.

Having a good work ethic doesn't help against a heart attack, stroke, broken limb, the flu, car breakdowns, or your mother passing away.
