i'm a few months in on floor supervision or fez for short i keep the Que above 85 almost every time i'm there. on Wednesday i go a 90 on one plus one and Que but they took me upstairs today to talk to the head manager because i'm too slow on the check lane as a cashier. plus they scolded me for not training our 5 month in people better i wasn't the one who trained them. and my tone is wrong. i hate when they say that. it stupid. i smile i politely say hi and answer questions to the customers. perfect example i was on a lane a customer with there daughter came through the daughter was in a frozen dress i was inquiring weather or not she came from a party or special occasion and my management relief whispers in my ear that we need to talk about my tone of voice. wtf? i know i should call union and complain about this. also the Que score when i left today was 93. if they keep bitching about my tone i'm going to step down from flooring and let them find someone else. because no one else wants to do it ever the only other person stepped down do to the long hours.
Wow, that kinda does sound like harassment. No matter how nice you are to people, management has to find something to complain about you. You should definitely go to your union about this.
They shouldn't be whispering in your ear (creepy) when you are with customers. If they want to talk about your job performance you need to be away from customers.
I had one comanager that would always stand behind me and whisper things to me. I ignored her. She kept on until I got her back one day. She was pushing those dang surveys and she stood behind me whispering "survey, tell them about the survey". So I did. I handed the customer their receipt and said loud enough for her to hear "sometimes there's a survey on your receipt, you should watch for it. You can get 50 bonus fuel points!! Sorry you didn't get it today". Or something like that. LOL! Then I turned and just kinda shrugged my shoulders at my comanager and smiled.
