Tonight I was actually off at 11:45, but naturally every ghetto moron comes shopping at this time. There is no manager on the floor, though I was told there is *supposed to be* a night manager. Naturally the other cashier got off at 11:30 when it was dead as can be, and every front desk person was off at this time too which is really unusual. So after being asked to help, the two "night shift reshop clerks" refuse to open another lane or come help bag. I got out at 12:05 tonight, and only because a bagger that knows what his job is (despite having to clear the lot) and actually has some decency helps me out and THEN one of the reshop morons opens a lane. Somebody screwed up tonight, and there are people you just wouldn't bother saving. Indifference goes both ways. Normally this doesn't happen, but I wish they would cut loose these people that barely contribute. I wish my store ran a tight ship. And yes, I had my light off and a closed sign. What am I supposed to do, say "Go to the other open lane--oh, wait, there isn't one."
I used to work until midnight. I had a FES tell me that after midnight it starts a new day so therefore no overtime. She actually said if I worked after midnight it would be put on a new days time. I had to explain to her it goes by your shift.

It's at that point when you suggest to management that your FES needs to take a drug test.
ive had to deal with that before but it was a co-worker who was making me late. she would NOT go to self check out and did not want to be rung up by the black cashier (i think shes racist), it was 12:04 and people kept getting in the lane with my light off. this was the first time ive ever said "SORRY IM CLOSED I WAS SUPPOSE TO BE GONE LONG AGO..." haha..man this chick pissed me the f off. i was a bagger too.
