I know of a friend that has been putting in tons of information on some very unethical behavior and all he ever recieves is a canned response from them or they don't bother following up with them. Is there a former member of management who could shed light on this? I told him we should consider contacting corporate/GO since it gets swept under the rug.

Reports are supposed to notify "corporate", but I wonder if they just get shot back to the districts. If so, that would kind of keep the dirty laundry in-house. I worry about district foxes guarding the hen house when it comes to management misbehavior.

I have doubts that actual reports are forwarded to corporate, but handled in-house who in turns investigate themselves much like how "Internal Affairs" investigates police wrongdoings. There is also of things currently happening at my store. There are employees who are being shorted on their checks as an example. I saw a memo that said if an employee clocks in, but doesn't clock out to delete it out of Kronos. There are people who are on the night crew whom are full-time not getting 40, but rather 24 - 28 hours. Oh, and safety is becoming an issue. Currently, the maintenance in our division is short and isn't fixing things in a timely manner.

That's the easy way to the unemployment line for your time & attendance person. If you can't verify the time, you should just add another punch a minute later so it doesn't block payroll. You do not want to be the store holding up everybody's pay across your area because some dumb a$$ forgot to clock out.
Same thing here. I have started filing my reports with my county clerk's office as a memorandum of understanding so that there is a government/regulatory record as well as Employment Commission protection. It doesn't hurt to file complaints with the labor department about time issues as well.
