Open Enrollment
Permalink

I just got my open enrollment packet for health insurance.  However the only option for me is Part-Time HMO Kaiser. I am Full-time as of May 16, 2015. Who do I need to talk to about getting the Full-Time PPO Blue Cross/ Blue Shield?  Another unrelated question, I've been told I have to wait 6 months after making full-time to start getting full-time pay, but does that mean I start getting full-time raises or does my pay immediately go up to the equivalent full-time pay scale based on months at Kroger.

Working 6 months before you get full time pay sounds like BS to me.  Who told you that?  What does your union contract say?

That is exactly what I said, but the Union Steward is the one that said it. I guess that's how the treat us down in the Georgia.

Get on them about that health insurance! My contract trips full time coverage after 12 straight weeks that average 36 hours, whether you're full time or not.

I went from full time to part time (32 hours every week) back up to 40 hours every week and my coverage adjusted itself accordingly. It was a headache as I simultaneously did and did not have full time coverage.

I worked 40 hours a week for 8 months straight then had to transfer. Union steward said hey, you're full time, that's what's on your record. New store calls old manager, I'm a student so 8 months was worth nothing. Union steward got me full time coverage and that was my only option for 2016. I'm happy with that.

and i got my full time raise immediately
