Cage free is just as cruel as caged chickens.  There really isn't any such thing as cage free.  The Kroger organic chicken is a lie too.  They are only raised organic during the last month of their life.  That's like spraying pesticides on vegetables then don't spray one day and say it's organic.

I can see someone is talking out of their ass, so be prepared to be educated. The Simple Truth all natural is not organic, but has no added solution. They're allowed to give antibotics and steroids, but must wait 90 days before slaughter to have it pass. Simple Organic is cage and has strict standards. The land they use must be free of pesticides for at least 3 - 5 years. The can't be give steroids or antibotics. The feed even has to be organic.

NOTE: If a certain URL seems to be dead, just go to google and type is a few RELEVANT keywords, and most likely the story (any story you are looking for) will be found.......although it may be on a different link.  For example, I typed in  "Kroger sued Simple Truth chicken" (without quotes) and found a bunch of stories, mostly the same thing repeated on different news sites. here's one:

F U Cutter.  I'm going by what I was told by Kroger.  I never said Simple Truth was organic.  As far as you trying to educate me?  Ha ha.  You're an idot.  Plus most of what you just wrote is a lie.  Drink more kool aide kiddie.

Ok.  First off, they don't have classes unless you are referring to those computer "classes" at Kroger.  Second, you don't need 10 years meat experience to know a thing or two about the meat industry, animal welfare, genetically modified corn and soybeans and on and on and on.  What I have done is research this extensively for the last 4 years so you want to come at me you need to come armed with the facts, not a knife bloodied with your meat you think you know so much about.

I won't discuss this with you again because you aren't able to come to the discussion armed with the facts.

In my division we have an extensive training program for new cutters as well as a 2 day boot camp for extensive training on beef. You probably don't even know that cattle can be fed reject candies and chips right? What you've done is do research from bias websites on the matter. I've come to learn from industry leaders and professors from Texas A&M.

Ok.  So you've had extensive training on beef.  Then you come on a thread about CHICKEN and raise a stink about what an expert you are on BEEF?  Then accuse someone of researching biased websites like you know that is a fact.

Can't wait until you advise us all on the safety of chicken milk or beef eggs LOL!

No wonder you can't get a job at anyplace other than Kroger LOL!

I would show you some pictures of a cow and a chicken but you would probably just argue it wasn't true LOL LOL LOL LOL!

My background includes various meats, but mostly beef, chicken, and pork. You Millennials can believe what you want and your bias websites.

Nothing you've been saying about your "credentials" explains why you are discussing beef on a thread about chicken.  They are still two different animals raised different ways, fed different.  What cattle are fed has nothing to do with this thread but yet you still keep on.

So Cutter, how do you know everyone's age?  You mentioned "all you millenials" but how do you know?  I for one am not.

This lawsuit is almost 2 years old.  The "progressive" news just put it out again to fill a news story.  Move along people nothing to see here.

Organic produce uses pesticides, fam. They're "naturally-based", i.e. they don't use synthetic chemicals, but that doesn't make it necessarily less harmful. It is provably less efficient and ends up using more land for the same size yield as conventional produce.
