Been with Kroger's for a year and I have been paying $2.50 for insurance a week. I haven't gone full time or added anyone but for 4 weeks it went up to $5 then it went back down to $2.50. I talked to the person who does payroll at our store and she said speak with the union rep which I did and she spits out some bull like "It fluctuates depending on how many hours you work." Now I don't know who to talk to. $10 is $10 especially with what Krogers pays.
Did you recently go on vacation? Sometimes you get charged for what's called 'arrears'. It's because they didn't take out insurance payment from your vacation check, so you have to pay it back on a later check.
Ask your ASP if you have one, or get a comanager to contact your HR coordinator, or Payroll.
No I'm a drone for Krogers. Haven't taken vacation. What is ASP? Per union contract level 2s only pay $2.50.
The ASP is the administrative assistant to the store manager. Ask around and inquire who is your store's ASP. The ASP spends most of his/her day in the office at a desk.
Have you asked other employees if they have noticed a change in amount paid for insurance? All you can do is continue to inquire among your fellow employees, try talking to the ASP or ask which co-manager is in charge of HR and get him/her to look into it... or go above the union rep's head and find out who else you can talk to within the union.
