I've been looking at the jobs website, to see if there's any positions out of the stores that I could do. But I was wondering what that was like? Anyone here work at an office or something and could me an idea? I'd like to think it's at least marginally better, but who knows?
There's a position open right now for something called "promo planning", which sounds like something I could do. I'm assistant non-foods manager, so I have first experience with that lovely aisle. I'm just not sure what it all entails, like what is it actually like? As much as I hate working in the store, it's a fairly straight forward job for the most part. I'm kinda nervous that if I did manage to land this job, I might be completely loss. (Just a bundle of confidence, as you can see.)
If you're a promo planner, you're probably going to spend more time in Kroger stores than in an actual office or cubicle. You'll probably be a salary employee exempt status (no overtime) and have to deal 30 times the amount of idiots you are already dealing with. You'd probably get weekends off, but I can't really say anything about your everyday schedule...
