Using or possession of marijuana is against federal laws, even if it is not illegal in your state, it's still federally illegal.
Anyway, a company can choose to not hire you for just about any reason. Drug use is not a federally protected class.

Virtually every job offer from a large corporation is conditional upon you passing a drug test and background check.
