By now I have both created and administrated my own web pages as well as stepped in as moderator for other people's pages. For the most part i'm no longer involved with any of that because it's too time consuming, although I did get some interesting and funny insights from people........and that leads me to my point here.
There's a moderator on this page calls themselves The Dude. Basically, this person has recently taken to erasing and locking up pretty much any topic or response he/she doesn't like. So how bout this, dude: if you wanna run a church, why not just do that? If you wanna see n read only the things you like why not create your own page and post only your own thoughts? Trolls are irritating bug they come with any open forum, and you use common sense in dealing with them. Or you should, any way.
When you had your own forum and when you helped with other forums, did you do what you thought was best or did you just let the people run the forum? You mentioned it was time consuming so that leads me to believe you actually did some type of work on the forums. What did that entail?
I'm not sure why you want to come here and tell our moderator you disagree with him. Aren't your moderator days over? This isn't your forum. If you don't like it, feel free to leave.
The only posts I removed and/or locked contained vulgar language or slandered others. Most of which were directed at me because I removed all his ****posts.
If you wish to call my moderation into question that's fine; just be civil about it and I'll have no reason to remove it.

In any event, all you just did was mirror back what the OP wrote about censoring posts you don't like. Bravo!

It has nothing to do with me liking the post or not. The anon was spewing profanities and acting a fool. Profane language, hate speach, and spam will not be tolerated, ever.
I also recieved numerous reports about the posts before hand and began with just locking threads and telling the anon to act like an adult or harsher action would be taken. They refused to stop and the behavior got worse. That was when I went about deleting posts.
When I started deleting posts the anon began creating new topics with nothing more than profanities and hate unrelated to the forums' purpose.
Such being the case, the childish behavior was no longer being tolerated.

Jesus, you idiots will never learn. TheDude just doing what he does, moderating. I am also a forum administrator so I know the feels because I deal with it as well, more strictly when necessary through the Admin CP too (hint: perma-banning as a last resort / last chance.)
Don't bash on him for doing his job, as hell most of us members and "anon regulars" got pissed about it and simply waited it out while thedude went about his cleaning spree after reports were made to him, and he did what was required by stepping stone moderation (warn, > lock, > delete). Exact reason on my forum I don't allow anon posting, except in certain boards. Even then, they are post count restricted by IP for a daily period from 12 am to 11:59PM and it resets the counter at midnight (not alot, just not enough to spam too badly.) I have a forum wide filter that handles post screening as well if me, another admin, or mod doesn't catch them to the effect of a bad post that doesn't meet expectations = invisible to forum, auto moved to report holding / staff approval board, is reviewed and either deleted / approved.
Don't agree with this forum, then there's the back button waiting for you. Have a good day.
