I am moving back to my home state after only working for the Kroger company 30 days. Is it possible to transfer?I am going from a Food 4 less in California and wouldlike to workfor Fred Meyer in Washington.

It is possible to transfer between divisions, the problem is that you've only been with the company for 30 days.

 

I'm not sure how it works with Food 4 Less but when I worked at Ralphs there is a 60 day probational period where you basically have to prove yourself that you're a good worker, and they can fire you on the spot. Trying to transfer from one division to another is a very long process, and they might not take your request seriously being that you are still a new hire on probation. If I were you I would wait until your 60 day probation period is up, and you become a permanent employee.

You probably won't be able to transfer, but chances are if you reapply and tell them that you were doing the exact same job, they'll hire you, you already have more experience than half the people they bring in.

There is a one year minimum required to transfer here in MI.
