Night Premium and scheduling issues.

So working as an overnight stocker, I thought we were supposed to get 50 cents every hour worked. I work 40+ hours a week, but I only get like $5 dollars for the night premium. I also only seem to be getting compensated for 29 to 30 hours, despite me being a full time worker? The told me Saturday's pay would go on next week's check, but still the same story. Why does one day and a few extra hours keep getting bypassed on my pay?

Have you ever checked your paystub?  Kroger.com  log in with your Kroger user ID and password.

I always keep track of my hours outside of work.  Kronos is only as good as the payroll person is.

Our workweek is Sunday to Saturday.  Since you work nights, shifts get confused by many people.

I work 10pm to 630am.  My first day of the week is Saturday night(2 hours) to Sunday morning.  My last day of the week is Friday night(2 hours) to Saturday morning.  Technically, we are supposed to be working 12:01 am until 8:30am but are allowed to come in at 10pm as long as we get the work done.

No no no, you've gotten this all turned around. Let me clear this up for you, hope it helps:

First, night diff. $ only applies in aggregate---in other words, it's all rounded off to the nearest .10 of 17% of your last raise's earnings during second quarter (it's a corporate thing, go figure). What this means is you'll have to apply pi to your pre-tax earnings to make sure pay roll is on their job, then a new formula for post taxed earnings----but only n the month's first check.

With me so far? Good!

Last: Kroger implemented a new policy involving capital gains; it's an SEC thing, but basically means, starting July 12 of this year, all pay roll will be re evaluated by INS, IRS and NSA before being authorized for release.

 What if the pies are squared?  Or, does that only effect circumference?  C=pi R^2

 In our contract you only get the 50 cent premium between 12 and 6 a.m.

 That's the area of a circle.  The circumference is pi x diameter.

Your bitching about 50 cents, try getting put to 7.45 an hour and getting moved to meat department.
