Is there an issue like this any other store?

My store there is a residential area behind the store. There is a road meeting the road in front of my store. There is this lady who lives by the other side road that complains about trash sales papers etc blowing in the ditch by her house. About once twice or more times a week someone has to go out and pick the trash up. The county was sending work crew out at one time to pick trash up. But a few weeks ago the city no longer wants to pay them to come out so it stopped. And the lady started complaining again. So Someone had to go out again and get the trash. I had went one week like three days that week and one day in our customer surveys she posted about the trash blowing bla bla bla. I did not have her name but we figured out it was her or she had something to do with it. Why should we have to do this? Why can't the people who keep up the landscaping do a better job? And we do not have a parking lot sweeper every night. Does anyone else have these issues? They just now started back sweeping our lot at night but it's once a week.

It is Kroger garbage.  Store management needs to fix it.

It seems their solution is to send an employee out to pick it up.  You were the chosen one that week.  If you do a really good job, they will send you out all the time.

Where is the garbage coming from?  Find a solution to stop it.

Put up a net so the person only needs to walk along the net?

Trick a boy/girl scout troop into adopting that ditch for constant clean up?

Several years ago, I was sitting in my truck before going in to work and I saw a CC collecting carts.  They were pulling the trash out and just dropping it on the ground.  (facepalm)  What are the schools teaching these kids now a days?  Surely not common sense.

Most of the trash in Kroger parking lots is dumped by LAZY, TRASHY, Scumbag customers. The same people who are LITTERBUGS and have been all their lives....... their mama and daddy (if they had one in the  home)  probably were the same way, and taught their children it is OK to pitch the beer cans/candy wrappers/soda bottle/potato chip bags/lottery scratch-off cards/ old receipts/ cigarette packages out the window and onto the ground. That way, it is "someone else's problem".

The same people who are litterbugs are the same low-life skuzzballs who LOVE to leave stuff in an aisle were it doesn't belong, such as a gallon of milk left next to the oreo cookies. or Frozen waffles next to the cabbage heads.

I wish there was a way to get them to stop their bad habits, but what can you do?
