Online shopping positions

So far I know that there's 3 positions. A lead, backup, customer attendant and picker. Could anyone tell me what the customer attendant does? I have seen the job description, but I'd like to know what the position does from someone who actually does it. Thanks!

In a nutshell, the attendant is the person who takes the orders to the car. I work in Clicklist (online shopping).

Regards!

Pretty much this. That is the primary role of a ClickList Attendant. I'm a ClickList Selector, but even when I'm out on the sales floor with a trolley, I'll sometimes see one of the Attendants pushing a small cart around looking for items marked as OOS (out of stock) or substitutes/alternative substitutes if an item selected as a substitute by a Selector is determined by the ClickList Manager/Lead/Back-up to be a less than adequate choice. Attendants will also sometimes be sent to the Meat Market and/or Deli Service Counters to pick up the service counter orders to be brought back to the ClickList staging area if none of the Selectors are able to/remember to pick up service counter orders upon finishing up a trolley run. Attendants also spend time cleaning trolleys and the ClickList staging area in general when there is downtime and no customers are in the designated parking spaces. Attendants can even be asked to grab a trolley and run an order strip and basically be a Selector for a set amount of time, if the ClickList Manager/Lead/Back-up deems it to be necessary (like if there are a lot of orders and not enough Selectors), so some Attendants at my store are cross-trained - as are some Selectors to fill the role of Attendants when necessary.

Ultimately, the ClickList salaried manager, department head or back-up department head (whoever is in charge on a given day/time) can assign different duties depending on how busy/slow it is, so the tasks can vary. Personally, I prefer being a Selector, but that's me and I know one Attendant who does very, very well in tips, so I can understand why he likes it a lot and does it exclusively.
