Can anyone give me advice on how to improve check stand friendliness?..I need creative ideas any help would be much appreciated confuse

Smile, a lot, and make sure to talk to people. Try to keep conversation topics fresh, none political or religious. Unless you live in a HIGHLY religious community and know their preferences.

yup basically what bag boy said. just be nice and engage with them. it makes people feel welcome and gives the chatty cathys an outlet. humor is an excellent ice breaker as well, even if it's cheesy dry humor. people eat that stuff up.

Drink on the clock.  Make sure you use a sealable container to contain any beverage smells.  Peppermint schnapps is also an option since it leaves you minty fresh.  The 90 proof packs a wallop.
