I know this is one of the perks kroger tries to push on customers to get them to come work for us.  I saw a similar post at taco bell.  First of all, minimum wage is hardly "competitive" and secondly why are they looking for great people to work when they don't have the hours to give out?

. . . why are they looking for great people to work when they don't have the hours to give out?

And why do they treat great people poorly, including with the welfare wages?

this company blows my mind with its lies more and more each day. they take advantage of people who don't have a job with all these flashy things like "competitive wages" and "a great work environment" when it's all a crock.

Competitive pay: you must compete with higher wages to survive. What's so "competative" about those so called wages?

Great question, or they will just harass the good workers till they quit. If the company was so great they wouldn't be constantly hiring.

That's still no where near enough to survive in Los Angeles... unless a person still lives with his/her parents or shares a place with one or two other people or holds down a second job with his/her significant other.

if fast food workers want $15 an hour to flip burgers (little-to-no skill required), we should demand at least $25/hr

Honestly a Kroger job is only one step above fast food
