Are you transferring departments or what's going on that you worked so hard and now they are wanting to put you in an unfamiliar department to you?

If you are changing bargaining units/unions, you will likely forfeit whatever seniority you now have. Might be worth it, but be aware.

Look for another job! Kroger is becoming unstable more and more everyday. No strategic direction! Lets just keep doing what we are doing......"Promotions on top of Promotions" will keep people coming in!
FYI...NON-FOODs normally makes less then all other departments...

Issues:
Associates Retention/Turnover
-Kroger Solution-
Have departments members become more personal, build trust and a sense of family, promote the discounts that associates receive (10% off "Our Brands", At&t, etc)
-Issue why people are leaving-
Nights, Weekends, Evenings. Low wages, no downtime, high productivity demands, low staffing levels

Items not in stock
-Kroger Solution-
Introduce a new computer program that will only order the items that are needed for the projected sales, upcoming promotions.
-Issue what this causes-
While it sounds good, it does not take in mind customer do not have a consenting shopping pattern, customer cross-shop stores, items lose popularity, customer perception. This program has caused shelves to be left empty and customers complaining about items not being in stock. Associates are then instructed to order on top of system, causing back stock which then causes backroom to be full and out of compliance with Key Retailing. This added ordering then causes issues with staffing, because you only get hours for your "foretasted" cases.

I can actually go on and on........ I might live in a "Bubble Store" ....anyone else have anything to add?
