Pay increase or just talk?

Had a quick question over a change in pay once you move from part-time to full time(to which I did on the 23rd of July this year). I've checked my contract and don't really see anything about a change of pay. As it looks like I'd be making the same amount following how they do the 5 cent raise anyway. Which I'm coming up on 8.55 in another few weeks or so I'd imagine(which I believe is the same pay I'd be getting if I were full-time(or maybe that was if I was hired on as full-time and worked my way up to where I am now...?), if I'm reading that right in my contract).

But when I came in the other day, one of my store managers was telling me. That things are being worked out and the other people and myself, whom received full-time status recently. Were going to get back dated pay. And I'm at a loss as to what that means really. Am I do money from a pay change or what?

In my KMA we don't have different Full-Time or Part-Time pay brackets, its all the same. The only thing that Full-Time guarantees you.. 40 Hours, Seniority and maybe Healthcare for yourself!

In my division there is a difference. Op needs to call his Union rep. His pay may go up if he is full time. If I went to full time, I would get top rate be pay.

It all depends on the union contract for your area.

When i went from part time to full time, here in the Atlanta division, i didn't receive an immediate pay raise.  what happens is you go up to the closest pay rate in the full time bracket to what your part time pay was. (my case, was making at time $7.55 which went up to $7.65) which was the closest pay in the full time bracket.  then you continue to progress from there until you max out. If you are already maxed out part-time pay it is the same (You would not go to maxed out full-time pay). You will have to progress until you max out again, which usually is a year.  In my case i took the back-up GM position, so mow im maxed out at $15.90

Well, SHE, will do that and maybe even talk to the HR manager as well. As she was the one that mentioned it to me in the first place. I hadn't really heard about there being any change of pay or anything til she said something. I guess I'm just lucky that I already got the insurance paper work as others are still waiting to get their's.
